Microsoft gab bekannt in welchen Editionen Windows 8 auf den Markt kommen wird.
Es wird 3 Editionen geben: Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro und Windows 8 RT für die ARM Plattform (also für Tablets).
Die Versionen unterscheiden sich etwas weniger stark als dies noch bei Windows 7 der Fall war:

Wann Windows 8 auf dern Markt kommen soll, gab Microsoft bisher nicht bekannt. Es wird aber mit Herbst 2012 gerechnet.
